The sic 550range of joint closures are the most advanced heat-shrinkable closures available for the protection of cable joint in a telephone network. Based on the sic technology of heat-shrinkable composite materials, sic500 closures have an excellent split resistance and are very craft friendly. The glass composite structure of the closure offers superior resistance to mechanical abused both during and after installation. An integral metal layer which shrinks with the sleeve protect the joint from moisture vapor transmission. A metal canister having a joint capacity up to 3600 pair. The kit is suitable for non-pressurized cables, aerial, buried or ducted, non filled or jelly filled, with lead or polyethylene sheaths.
